What is Tribe: Festival of Hope?

Tribe 2026: A Festival of Hope at Oasis St Martins Village in Lambeth is part of a wider, ambitious multi-city celebration uniquely postioned at the intersectionality of culture, commerce and community. Founded by social advocates and innovators, Tribe is a community event designed to address challenges such as a lack of representation, economic disparities and social isolation - whilst creating transformative experiences that uplift, inspire and connect.

The event format will be structured around “Villages and Playgrounds”. At the heart of Tribe, there will be seven thematic villages with programming across sectors including Community, Education, Family, Economy, Arts, Faith, Government and Media. Meanwhile the Playgrounds will offer immersive spaces focused on entertainment and arts.

Activities will range from workshops, panel sessions, seminars, keynotes, and fireside chats to live music, art exhibitions, wellness sessions, networking events, charity dinners and live broadcast.

Who is Symphony (The Event Organiser)?

Founded by Seth Pinnock Symphony Collective is a youth led charity that supports young people, particularly those from marginalised communities. Based in Oasis St Martin’s Village Symphony aims to foster purpose through arts, education and advocacy. The charity runs “Symphony Academy” for education and “Symphony Records” for music production alongside community projects, podcasts and live events. Tribe: A Festival of Hope is an extension of Symphony’s existing work it carries out in the community that centres around unity, empowerment, and creativity.

The Event Space

Tribe will take place at Oasis St Martin’s Village, a community hub, venue and converted school building in the Tulse Hill Area where the charity is also based.

The site shall be separated into distinct areas,

  • The Outdoor Field, Car Park & Sports Courts

  • Holy Trinity Church

  • Indoor Venue’s Across the Oasis St Martin’s Village Footprint

There will be no customer parking and all event guests will be encouraged to use public transport to attend the event. Customers will access the event via Gate C where they will have their tickets scanned and be given an event wristband which they can use to come and go throughout the event. The event wristband will grant customers access to Oasis St Martin’s Village, Holy Trinity Church and indoor venues within the footprint (capacity permitted). The outdoor areas of the event will be free flowing and all indoor areas will be capacity controlled through event sign and event stewards and security.

The outdoor event space will consist of a music stage, film screenings, food and drink stalls, an exhibitor marquee, fun fair rides and more.

Production (working) vehicles may use Gate A and B off of Tulse Hill to access the site only. Customers will not be permitted access in this way except at the end of the event where all customers will have to exit via Gate A onto Tulse Hill.

The maximum attendance of Tribe: A Festival of Hope is 2500 per day.

Licensing

Tribe: A Festival of Hope will apply for a Premises Licence to Lambeth Council to hold the event. Once the application has been received notices will be put up around the venue with more information on where the licence can be reviewed. The application will go through a 28 day consultation period where the Responsible Authorities and Community will have the chance to review the application and represent if they choose.

The application will be submitted no later than the end of March 2026.

Dates

Tribe: A Festival of Hope will take place over the 8th and 9th August 2026. The event opening times will be as below.

Saturday: 11:00 - 22:00

Sunday: 11:00 - 21:00

We will start installing the event from Wednesday 5th August and the take down will finish on Tuesday 11th August.

Oasis Staff Parking & Usage

The organising team will work closely with the Oasis St Martin’s Village leadership team to ensure normal operations of the site are respected during the event period.

A limited number of parking spaces will be reserved for Oasis staff, church leadership and essential site personnel where required. Clear access routes will be maintained for staff, residents and emergency services.

The organising team will coordinate directly with Oasis to communicate event timings, access arrangements and operational updates to ensure regular users of the site are able to plan accordingly.

Safety & Security

When Tribe: A Festival of Hope is open to the public our security and stewarding teams’ primary responsibility is the safety and security of guests. They are also responsible for looking after the infrastructure and the areas within our licensed area. We will be liaising with the police as part of our planning and they will be provided with details of our plans.

Sound Management

Tribe: A Festival of Hope will work with an experienced and competent sound management consultant in the planning and onsite phases of the event who shall monitor sound levels for the event. We will agree with Lambeth Council reasonable sound levels for the properties close to the site and the sound management consultant shall monitor these points to ensure these stay within the set levels. An acoustic plan has been developed by the festival’s sound management consultant and will be agreed with the Local Authority’s environmental protection team.

When the event team is onsite a resident telephone number will be provided so that local residents will be able to get in touch directly. If a sound complaint is made this will be passed onto the sound management consultant immediately who shall investigate the sound levels and report back. The resident telephone number will be distributed to the local community via a letter drop and housing associations closer to the event date.

Sound checking will take place on Friday 7th August for up to two hours. The times for sound checking will be agreed with the Environmental Health team at Lambeth Council. The purpose of sound checking is to set the correct sound levels prior to the event opening.

Waste & Litter

We operate a ‘leave no trace’ policy for Tribe. Our aim is to minimise the waste created by the event and to recycle at least 20% of all litter and waste that is generated.

Our litter picking team will be on site throughout and will be providing lots of extra bins, continually picking litter and making sure we take proper care of the site.

Supporting the Local Economy & Community Benefits

Tribe: A Festival of Hope is designed not only as a cultural celebration but also a catalyst for community empowerment, local pride and economic opportunity.

The event will prioritise:

  • Local food vendors, caterers and market traders

  • Opportunities for local artists, performers and speakers

  • Work experience and volunteering pathways for young people

  • Partnerships with local charities, churches and community organisations

Symphony Collective, the organiser of the event, is based in Oasis St Martin’s Village and delivers year-round programmes in music, education and community development.

Through Tribe, we aim to celebrate culture, strengthen local relationships and bring visitors to the area who will also support surrounding local businesses and organisations.

Local Resident Ticket Access

Tribe: A Festival of Hope is committed to ensuring the event remains accessible to the local community.

A portion of the event’s tickets will be made available as subsided tickets, including both single-day and two-day passes, designed to ensure local residents and community groups are able to attend the event at a reduced cost.

Details on how to access these subsidised tickets will be shared with local residents and community organisations closer to the event date.

In addition to the ticketed elements of the event, certain aspects of the programme will remain open and accessible to the wider public, including the Sunday morning church services hosted at Holy Trinity Church, which will be free and open to the public as part of the normal church gathering.

Our aim is for Tribe to feel not only like an international event but also a celebration rooted in the life of the local community.

Local Resident Contact Information

  • Holy Trinity Church leadership
